      • Matt Mervis directs AI strategy at EdAdvance (the Educational Service Agency in Litchfield, CT) and is co-host of the AI in Education Podcast ChatEDU. In addition, Matt leads the Skills21 team at EdAdvance and he's focused on enabling project-based learning and AI. Matt has deep experience in education having served in a range of roles including teacher, professional development specialist, district technology director and product developer. Matt presents frequently on AI and the future of education for regional and national audiences. Known for his engaging and accessible style, Matt blends expertise with humor to make AI both practical and thought-provoking for educators, leaving audiences inspired and ready to take action.

5 Pillars of the Mentor Corp partnered with University of Wyoming

These sessions are mandatory for first year teachers, highly recommended for second year teachers and optional for all other staff members. They weill be held at the Platte Valley Community Center from 4:30-5:30 PM with the option to Google Meet into the meeting. Trainings will be as follows:

  • Monday, September 29: Teaching and Learning
  • Tuesday, Octover 28: Assertive Communication
  • Monday, November 10: Qualify Feedback
  • Monday, January 12: Work / Life Balance
  • Monday, February 9: Building and Maintaining Relationships

If you are a new teacher to our district, your mentor will reach out to you about the details of these workshops. It will be a working session  where we will dig deeper into the monthly topic to offer support and guidance for a greater career experience. For more information, contact Ryan Searle.
